About the Artist A native of Los Angeles, California, Tom Nyerges has studied photography at Pasadena State College, California State University at Los Angeles, and the Art Center College of Design, since 1968. In 1986 he moved to Washington, DC and studied at the Corcoran School of Art. Since then he has exhibited in numerous group and solo shows. Tom has been a recipient of grants from the Maryland State Arts Council and the Arts Council of Montgomery County, MD. His work has been published in books and magazines in England, Holland, and the United States. He specializes in black and white fine arts portraits.
